It's not anything like Tekken 4 but things like having a rage damage boost and the wall combos + bound made juggles start to get annoying. 4 is bad at high level play only and for different reasons.
7 is fixing a lot of stuff so it's something to look forward to.

Btw why play Tekken 6 and not Tag 2? It's pretty much 6 with the tag mechanic and you could go solo online and offline too. The online is one of the best in any fighting game too.
