Works fine for me on Win10, with Win7 comp mode and reduced colour to 16-bit.
Without the compatibility settings the sprites had no transparency.
The music sounds off though, almost like if it's off-key, but I'm not sure about that. Also, there's always the possibility that it will screw up later when in the temple. I loaded my save and it worked fine, but since you always restart from outside it wasn't much help.
