>>334562526
>not starting the thread with Truck Driver Kirby
>>334562686
If only there was a Kirby general on /vg/ that actually lasts long enough.
11 fucking days.
>>334564659
nippon can preload itso why can't homebrew people unlock it now
>>334564659
And then I have to ignore /v/ and youtube for 2 months
I managed it for the most part with TD, so hopefully I can do it again, I made sure to unsubscribe to people who post the OST and other spoilery shit this time around
>>334564936
Pro tip: Go to your Youtube history and press the X for every Kirby-related cideo. I had Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam spoiled for me by a thumbnail in the suggested videos sidebar, when I wasn't even watching a gaming-related video.
>Haltmann Works are a group of alien invaders that fly from planet to planet mechanizing all life
>Kirby's planet is next on their list
Pic related, the last planet they visited.
>>334565174
I've seen that thumbnail too. It was a dick move, especially because the video's not even about Paper Jam specifically.
90% of the views are people clicking on the video to complain in the comments about the thumbnail. That's probably why they did it.
JET IS BACK, BITCHES. REJOICE.
>>334565195
That is some spooky shit
>Hyping up baby games
>>334566528
I also think they might be responsible for the HR robots. HR meaning"Haltmann Robot."
If they bring back the HR prefix in Robobot it'll clinch it.
>>334567213
Epic, my friend.
Simply epic.
>>334567091
So wait, that means they changed (at least part of) part of Shiver Star as well?
Dedede nendo when?
>>334567314
After the vastly superior Borb nendo.
>>334567376
Borb, please.
>>334567296
Yes. My theory is they invaded Shiver Star, but the inhabitants drove them out in an all-out war.
The inhabitants lost the war, and as a last resort nuked the planet, driving them away, but killing themselves in the process and causing a nuclear winter.
The factory area in 64 is what remains of the Haltmann base. Inside, you can see them cloning life forms in test tubes. That famitsu page for Robobot with that purple King Dedede says that they're cloning him.
>>334567538
Yeah I remember people talking about the possibility of Shiver Star being the result of nuclear winter.
When I saw that purple De De De, I just assumed it was Shadow De De De being brought back for some strange reason.
>>334567538
You got it all wrong. Shiver Star isEarth, they built the HR bots and at some point destroyed themselves. Those that remain were likely sent into deep space for whatever reasons, perhaps as a way to preserve their legacy after their planetwide self-destruction.
RtDL was a fun game.
>>334567376
>>334567962
What's with the recent hate for it tho? I thought it was a genuinely good game.
>>334567962
CUTE
what would be in each of the spheres they're protecting
>>334567745
Some anon translated the text.
Of course they could've just been bullshitting, but I think it's interesting that there were cloning tools on Shiver Star too.
>>334567789
I tried to work the Earth theory into it, it makes sense that the nuclear winter would be the result of a war, and Haltmann has a history of invading planets. So I figured, what if they were the cause of it?
>>334567962
I agree, when's the band getting back together?
>>334567962
RtDL>TD
>>334568151
Why is there hate for it? There's literally nothing wrong with, especially considering it was the first console Kirby game since 64 AND it was the revival of the long awaited dead Kirby game announced at E3 2005.
>>334568151
>>334568252
I've never seen anyone hate it.
Maybe people are growing tired of the "RTDL" formula, but I don't think anyone thinks it's a bad game.
>>334568160
Well, I went back and read it. I know some Japanese. It really does say clone. Well FUCK
RtDL was very well received for its time, but the cause of it being derided as of late is probably due to the perceived prevalence of the RtDL "formula", to put it one way. TD refined it slightly and despite Robobot looking like it's going to be the best out of the 3 and fucking amazing, it's still the same engine with the same graphics and almost the same abilities. It probably doesn't help that the games overall feel more sluggish than Super Star, which its copy abilities are derived from due to popular demand. The games have the move sets of Super Star but the pacing of the Dream Land trilogy. It's somewhat jarring. Of course all this being said, I still fucking loved RtDL and everything about it and I hope a console Kirby in the future brings back being able to play as the whole crew.
>>334568425
What if they cloneKirby
>>334568815
You just know that will happen. It fucking will.
Is it worth playing this game early if you don't know japanese?
>>334568937>he has his own mech
>his own copy abilities
It will be the hypest final boss fight in the history of Kirby
>>334569145
Kirby isn't really a dialogue intensive game. There shouldn't be any problems.
>>334569206
I wonder what his
soul version
will be like.
>>334562526
Man, I hope the japanese version includes english, because I can't fucking wait until june to play this game.
>>334569609
Well, I fucked that shit up. Stu, it's 3:00 in the morning, why are you typing up shit about Kirby?
>>334569609Ctrl + S, bro
>>334569712Now why the fuck did I forget this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ9mhupSJnU
Does anyone know if the music playing at 8:17 to 10:34 is a remix from the games? Interestingly enough, being the factory episode of the anime.
>>334569861
Doesn't sound familiar
>>334569145
If you're talking aboutpiracy, try playing TD in Japanese and see how it goes. I imagine it's fine.
>>334569861
Doesn't sound familiar at all, and I'm a connoisseur of Kirby factory/mechanical/industrial music, but I can say its pretty tight and I'm glad I listened to it
>>334569661
It won't
>>334569661
Well, I doubt it will be difficult to navigate. Though it would probably behoove some of you to at least learn katakana. It's easy and allows you to read most menu shit.
>>334569623
>>334570393
> Mask Boomerang won't be an attack in MKR
end it
>>334569623
>>334570393
>>334570581
There are a lot of interesting mechanics for Meta Knight (and even Dedede) that will never be realized because Hal are a bunch of hacks that would rather rehash KA until the ends of time.
>>334570654
>filename
Never. I'm not a filthy scrub and fought him fair and square in a sword duel just the way he wanted.
>>334570682
>rather rehash KA until the ends of time.
Come again? Also that 3D minigame in Robobot might (keyword being might) be a sign of them getting ready for a full 3D Kirby game.
>>334570654
>Implying I didn't just go without the sword and use the stars he emits from attacks against him
Only true patricians do this
>>334570805
>be a sign of them getting ready for a full 3D Kirby game.
And they're years late.I don't know why Kirby is so difficult to adapt to a 3D environment. Mario was a sidescroller for most of its early games, yet it transitions just fine.
>>334570682
u wot
>>334570734
Sure, the first time.
But on subsequent times it makes things interesting.
It's just too much fun to whap borb in the face with a fucking umbrella.
>>334570861
I don't know why they didn't go through with this one, it looks fine
>>334570861
Well better late then never. Some series make a late transition compared to others, if they end up doing it.
>>334572614
Probably ran into issues. Maybe they weren't confident as well.
>>334572614
According to the RtDL Iwata Asks, it wasn't the quality that HAL wanted it to be.
Planet Robobot release soon
