It will have a new HDMI port. It won't allow PS4 games to be played at 60fps. That's the last thing Sony want. Imagine people get accustomed to that and then next gen when they go 4k with the PS5 and have to drop back to 25fps, it will be a disaster. They'll go mental.
PS4k is literally just a lite hardware revision that will, at-most, cut down on loading times. The only big addition is that the new blu-ray player will have 4k capability. Since SONY as a whole is pushing 4k it makes the most sense.

I'd honestly switch to pc gaming at this point but sadly playing fps on a laptop all these years has resulted in my wrist having rsi. I literally can't play pc games anymore with kbm. So there's nothing I can do sadly. I would have actually gone full pc gamer no doubt at this point if ps4.5 turns out to be true if it wasn't for my wrist.

First, console players live in the stone age.
Second, starting from scratch, PC gaming starts off at 800 - 1200 USD. Consoles cost less than half of that. However, console games and the membership would add up over time and eventually cost more than PC gaming.
PC gaming is honestly the better choice in terms of long term dedication to one game. Consoles are fine for pretty much anyone who plays more than one game.
