We're getting close to a new generation of hardware so all the people who bought 900 series parts are worried that their cards are about to start getting slower as Nvidia shifts their optimization attention towards their newest cards.
Plus they've been having problems recently with their drivers bricking cards. Not to mention that AMD seems to finally have started delivering drivers that might actually be halfway decent even if they are Linux exclusive.
