F-Zero X was already out then, in fact Falcon's appearance and artwork in Smash 64 is based off of his appearance ant artwork in F-Zero X. You would know there are characters because every time you select a car in that game it shows a big comic book styled drawing of its pilot, complete with their name. I wanted to fuck Jody Summer when I was a kid.
