The fight, while enjoyable, is really not hard.
The flames can find of obscure lines of sight, but the fact he can be backstabbed and stun locked makes him pretty simple.

people told me to parry him to death.
parrying him always takes away 50% of my health. what's the fucking point of the parry then? sometimes the flames hit me immediately after and i miss the riposte. if you're unlucky enough to miss the parry and he decides to do a big combo, you will find it very hard to avoid it because recovery time sucks. you'll take at least one extra hit
so i just threw the fucking shield away, rolled like a maniac, and stunlocked him to death with my smooth dual-wielding
Hit him with your weapon, he has no poise and staggers easily. You can stagger him out of a lot of his big choreographed moves.

Honestly I found this fight kinda luck based. Depending when and where you are when the second one spawns you can even deal with it or be raped out of no where. If you can kill his and get the red eye to double team him (if he didn't luck out and kill him quickly) he is piss easy. Then second form is pretty nothing just a lot of back stabbing
Like a lot of DS3 he is a fight which is not hard if it weren't for multiple enemies

I was using rapier and small shield and it took me like 20+ tries to fucking kill him.

I think this is one of those bossfights that gets piss easy once you've subconsciously memorized his patterns. Just try and try again, I know I have to but I'm just too lazy to do it right now.
I did them with the starter straight sword and knight armor, try not to be greedy and not waste estus.
Most attacks can be predicted and dodged to the right. Also, a good shield helps for dagger strikes and 360 swings, but it wont carry all the fight.
Basically dodge+block and be reactive instead of aggressive like the first stage.
