I dont really care about dark souls and i think most games should have an easy mode but isnt the difficulty literally the whole point of dark souls? Its a miserable world and you're gonna die over and over again
Well there is an easy mode. It's called "summoning"!
Might as well go all the way and throw in quick saves and save states.
I don't personally mind the difficulty, however dying and having to re-trek the same areas like dozens of times (at times) and killing the same enemies over again to get to one part you're stuck on, is a pretty big waste of time and gets old fast.
I like the difficulty of the combat, it could probably be harder in some parts, but the weird checkpoint system can suck a dick.

this really does seem like a sadists game. some people (like me) don't really care for the 'hardcore competition' this series provides. I would buy the game to atleast try it because it really does look interesting, but I couldn't handle being killed again and again with that being just a part of it. I don't have the patience for that shit.

Get estus for killing certain mobs. Knights in the first area almost always give one. Watch out for the little golden cloud when they die.

Every fucking Demon's Souls/Souls entry has been fucking difficult, these are not casual centric games.
These are hardcore games for people who can appreciate the finer points of a gaming experience. (Mastering mechanics, and turning them into a toolset to overcome obstacles inside the gamespace)
