I'm pretty happy with my Wii U. Bought it just for Smash, ended up getting Bayo, Pokken, MK8 and some old shit like Metroid Prime Trilogy, classic Mega Man and I have absolutely 0 interest in Zelda.
But then, I'm not any kind of a "gamer" so I guess I'm the cancer killing this hobby.
Has more games and playtime than my ps4, so probably not.
It has far superior games to the other 2 attempts at consoles. the ps4 and bone have nothing worthwhile on them apart from bloodborne.
This whole generation has been an advertisement that all the unwashed masses want is EA sports titles, COD and advertising to idiots who think they're making the right choice.

It's just poorly implemented. The main problem is the retardation of the original concept of the console, that's designing it with a focus on asymmetrical gameplay and keeping the hardware improvements at the minimum in hopes to keep catering to all the casuals that bought the Wii. That being said the gamepad itself is a great idea. See, just in Xenoblade X alone the thing saves you like hours of going into menus. And in a game that already has you spend hours in menus in spite of that, I say it improves it a whole lot.
If they can fix all the problems it has in the new NX, I say it'd be great.

the idea of Wii U is kinda dumb, it's just a home iteration of the DS concept, which has been done many times already, and people have already seen that the second screen in many games is going to be neglected to showing maps or inventory, which doesn't come across as very useful, I don't think people have a problem in opening inventories and such, plus minimaps exist already
