I could try to sell you on VR but instead I am going to redpill you on it.
It is a waste of time, period. It is way to expensive, without a lot of support from the gaming or software community. People say that they are making "VR-friendly" versions of their software/games for people who use VR but it is still absolute shit, they aren't putting the time or money into it to make it worth while. To put it plainly, the software industry isn't actually backing VR technology, they know they can make just as much money if they don't put a lot of time and resources into it.
Another point that I should note is that some people have motion sickness after/during the use of VR technology, meaning that you may not be able to use the product after you buy it.
... but the porn. The porn industry will always be around, and they will always be putting porn on anything they can. Just cause its on VR doesn't mean that it will be better (although it might).
A reason why you should get VR is because when someone walks into your room while you are jerking off with the VR on, and you don't notice them. They may start sucking or fucking you, I don't know which, but its a possibility. Its worth the risk of your friend walking in and taking pictures of you jerking off while using the VR so he can show it to everyone you know.
I cannot sell you the VR for yourself, but I believe you should buy it so you can take pictures of your friend's junk without them noticing.

It's impossible to sell this item to people who cannot afford a $800 piece of equipment.
At the moment, there does not seem to be a game that you can spend many hours playing that justify a $800 expense.
IT IS a a fun piece of technology that I am still excited for. It is important to say that when it comes to VR, seeing is believing. You just have to experience it to want to buy it first.
Although I cannot afford it at this time, I haven't been this giddy for video games for a while.However, the games that are on it are so far not worth it.
I will wait my day until a true zombie survival game blooms from the current tech demos and shovelware we call vidya.
