I played bioshock about a year or two ago for the first time since my PC was dogshit back then and couldn't ever run it
I gotta say it wasn't aything stellar as far as the shooting goes, but the ambience and placement of everything were greatMaybe it was way better than I remember and I'm just mad at the morality stuff

Im replaying this on ps3 after having played it back when it came out on PC only 1 time.
Its pretty fucking awesome, the atmosphere is in credible, the only complain i could have is that theres just too much ammo and i never truly feel the need to rely on plasmids, im playing on hard tho maybe in survival mode ammo is scarce

See this is the twisted shit I know Bioshock is capable of making. I don't even like gruesome/horror that much, but damn if B1 didn't get my blood pumping and my skin crawling.
They could have at least done more with the Boys of Silence in Infinite.

I wouldn't mind something closer to the original concept of 1, where it's set in modern times and you have to stop a cult that's barricaded themselves with hostages in this Biodome. I wouldn't mind a game set in the modern times and was more horror-y, hell you could revisit Rapture as a scientist or salvage crew and in the 50 years since 2 it's become completely unrecognizable and is basically this giant overgrown petri dish.

Clearly Irrational didn't know which direction to take it. I'm afraid of 2K getting full control of the Bioshock franchise. I would prefer if they didn't fuck with the Infinite "sidequel" ever again. But sticking to the underwater theme will be too gimmicky over time. 2K will make a niggerhoops sidequest shitfest.
The only thing that will keep Bioshock "afloat" is the prospect of VR. Again, gimmicky. But, it would be cool to see rapture with VR.

they've already set up the multiverse stuff with Infinite, so now they can capitalize on it. Have you play as one of the last survivors of Bioshock that saw Elizabeth once, and buiold a portal machine hoping to escape to a rapture that didn't go to shit. Something goes wrong, and you get sling-shotted back and forth across a half dozen different worlds, each with their own failed utopia, and find out some cosmic flesh monster is threatening all of reality.
They can bring back VR and cybernetic upgrades with places set in the future and/or space, and have some de-post loar or whatever that all plasmids draw power from the flesh thing, which is a thinly veiled The Many analogue.
Could even throw in a stealth SHODAN by only showing her in a human host and only vaguely alluding to her true identity.
once you do that you can stretch the franchise out for ages by releasing campaigns that focus on specific fan favorite worlds.
