Yes. Dark Souls 2 sucked by comparison. no more enemies spinning in place to prevent backstabs, they're just naturally faster.

It could be good or bad. There's no way to know the future. If i had to guess based on AotA Old Hunters and Iron King then DS3 will beat out BB.

Better than vanilla DaSII by a longshot, but currently I still enjoy the crown DLC's more.
We'll have to see what DaSIII DLC is like. Based on FROM's track record and the quality of DaSIII, my hopes are high.

I thought all of the DS3 dlcs sucked. That ice tiger was probably one of the worst bosses in the series. Iron king had nice level design but the enemies and enemy placement were terrible. Outside of the level design the only worthwhile thing about it was the bosses.
DS3 is a better game on the first playthrough. DS2 has more replayability.

Probably because he saw the new enemy placements in Heide and assumed they're all that bad. They're not. Every level besides Heide and Drangleic Castle has better enemy placement and less enemies overall.
Also I liked the new dark sections. The game looks fucking awesome whenever you have a torch out so any excuse to use it more often is an improvement.

Research Hall was one of the best levels of the whole series though. The best parts of tower of latria and dukes archives rolled into one with great level design.

They aren't a hard boss by any means, but cool ranch was at least ripping off a good boss, and lmao2cat was ripping off at least something that was a boss.
ganksquad might be even slightly entertaining just because it's the less annoying one, but that doesn't change the fact that it's literally 3 armor sets thrown in a room and called a boss. It's one of the laziest things I've ever seen.
The improvements in Sotfs were
