I finally got around to playing this game and holy shit it's surprisingly fun. The story seems really engaging and character animations/expressions seem better than 99% of the shit we see today. Granted this is only past the "tutorial level" and I just reached an apartment of some kind but hot damn this shit is pretty tight. Great atmosphere. I answered some questions at the beginning and ended up getting Tremere but they seem like spellcasters and I usually don't play wizards in RPG's.
Also does anyone have the image that gives a quick rundown of all the different clans along with some beginner tips and mods recommendations? I have the "Unofficial patch 9.5" installed right now and don't want to do much else.

Here ya go, anon
Have fun with one my favorite games ever
>>334433934
Should I get the Unofficial Patch or Clan Quest Mod? I've already played through the game so that's not an issue.
>>334434172
Unofficial patch first.
>>334433934
How important is that bitch on the cover? I'm curious about the game, but I'm not really into vampires and that cunt looks like a character I'd loath.
Reminder that grout isn't dead
>>334434323
She's only relevant for the first area of the game, don't worry, she and almost all the characters in this game are fantastic
>>334434323
She plays a somewhat major role in the first 1/4 of the game then she kinda drops off.
If you do actually loath her character, you'll be in luck
>>334434116
Awesome. Thank you Anon. Is Tremere really considered the "beginner" clan?
>>334434583
No, they're all pretty even. I would consider every clan pretty much on the same level
Only Malk and Nos have a real impact gameplay/story wise

So I'm assuming there's no killing essential characters? Oh well.
Thanks, anons. I think I'll give this a try.

not in the strictest sense.

???
>>334434939
It's not the kind of open world game where you kill anyone you want. The storyline is linear and the quests allow only so much 'freedom' as the writers intend. But the content in the storyline and quests is just fantastic.

Love this one, reminds me of fucking Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen.

Well fuck thank you again. Now i have to reinstall. Again. For the second time this year.
they need to do a total remake ofVampire: The Masquerade - Redemption
>>334436185
I've never played it. How does it play? When I looked at it I was given the impression it was in the same vain as Diablo2
Is this scary? I have it but can't really do scary games.
>>334436302
good but halfway through the quality starts to really take a turn for the worse and the last section of the game is very unfinished.
the best parts of the game are the incorporation of themes and symbolism. the writing and immersion is wonderful. there's too little things to do compared to Bloodlines and it's way more linear and combat-driven. There's also not that many ways to build your character. Also you have a party.
I think it's better off as a pseudo-turn-based isometric RPG like it is now.
Obsidian can handle it.
>>334436482
If you are scared of vampires, sure. I don't find it scary. There is an area early in that most people I've seen say they are scared of, but it didn't bother me, and I can sometimes scare somewhat easy.
>>334436482
>>334436905
Forgot to mention that while I'm not too far into the game the only part that has really spooked me so far is the part where yougo to that weird cult place with all the zombiesbut that was only because they wouldn't stop coming and I get freaked out when swarmed into a corner.
>>334436482
I'd say only one early level qualifies as scary, and maybe 1-2 more as unsettling. This isn't a horror game, it's the atmosphere that overwhelms the player in a good way. The early scary level is definitely worth going through though, it's amazing. One of the best designed levels I've ever played through.
>>334436482
only scary part of the game for most was the haunted hotel but once youve done it once it isnt really scary again because you realise most of the stuff is activated by movement cues
actually maybe the snuff film quest as well
>>334436482
I hate scary games, but I was able to play it.There are scary parts though, 1-4 depending on how easily you are spooked. It's worth playing though, believe you me

OP here again. So this shit is really really fucking good and now I'm interested in finding a LARP group. Anyone have experience with them? Is it just all neckbeard autists hitting on the only girl there or are they usually more balanced? I'd like to meet some new people because I am moving and would like to find people with like interests besides video games such as tabletop/LARP stuff.
>>334438094
Does it not go to Paradox now?

>>334439639
Well shit. I actually went on a date with some random chick I met online a year ago who apparently did all this stuff. Sadly I hadn't played any of the tabletop game or the video game, just some DnD here and there.
I guess I felt like a normie when I try to explain my love for video games because everything she was saying was somewhat going over my head, but it seemed so fucking interesting. Really wish it had worked out, she seemed pretty cool and the group she LARP'd with seemed pretty chill also.
>>334439886
LARPing *can* be fun, but it really depends on who you're with. I prefer tabletop thoughI'd really like to do some fucking tabletop VTM, never got the chance
