SNK got bought by a chinese company, who wants to spin it into a multi-media franchise with anime, games, movies, etc. That doesn't sound like something a company with no money says.
Yes, SNK was broke as hell before, which is why they were bought. But I don't think any of us knows how much dosh they new parent company has to throw around.
They at least have enough to put together a 50-man roster with models that would look decent on a PS3. So they've got whatever budget Smash Bros U had, is what I'm saying.
