I think the actual Artwork for the Adventure Games was fucking awesome, but the in-game graphics are a little iffy. The Advance Games have the same Art Style, but awesome Sprites to back it up.

I like all of Sonic's designs barring Riders' and I agree with you. What I wouldn't give for a game using a 3D version of that model.
