Primary Doom audience is likely on PC, and they're the ones that would be upset at this release.
Doom is not really a console franchise and has pretty much no history on PlayStation so presumably the people playing it on there are fairly casually interested as opposed to long time fans.
Also Ratings on PSN are only a star system, people often star shit the moment they add it to their account, while User Reviews on Steam generally imply the person has gone to the effort of stating their opinion in a review.
By the way are PS Store ratings made up? You will not make me believe this are authentic.
