Just finished Deus ex original, was pretty good. Worth playing the sequel? I'm willing to deal with shit tier combat for god tier story. No spoilers pls

Invisible war is totally worth a playthrough, despite it's flaws. Track down the old community HD texture pack for it, though, makes a huge difference on a game designed for original xbox.

play human revolution and ignore the others

Skip Invisible War and go to Human Revolution.
Invisible War gets shat on for being way more shallow, but it had strong physics in gameplay year before HL2 made it cool, hilarious plot, actually different endings, and greater degree of freedom than original DE. Also, Omars were a cool faction

Invisible War?
No. It almost retroactively makes the first game worse by trying to continue the storylines of a bunch of characters when it should have just been left alone

This, iw isn't worth a playthrough.

Actually it has shit tier story with pretty okay tier combat. Easily best combat in the series, not that it says much.
Op here, I Would really not like to have the story ruined for me. I guess I'll just move to the 3rd... goodbye JC :( also does anyone else think the first could be turned into a movie?

HR retcons the original, so you're fucked either way
I never asked for this.

It's not going to ruin the story for you. At least try it and find out for yourself. Invisible War definitely tackles more interesting issues than human revolution.
You tried System Shock 2, OP? It's more similar than HR.

>goodbye JC
Trust me, it's for the best. He is ded, Jim.
Just don't compare it to DE.
IW was the first game I thoroughly enjoyed on the first xbox
The only good thing about IW's story is that it confirmed Paul is a god tier brother. Only to JC though.
