How many games do this? I know Saints Row does.
Quality offline single player games

>Saints Row
yeah but the game already has it's own cheats so it doesn't really matter, the invincibility DLC becomes useless when you realize that you can do that in 5 minutes
Rough maps that notes are added to as you progress

Instruction Manuals. Especially the ones that tried to make it seem like it was written in-universe.
No DRM
The fact that older games gave you a lot more freedom to explore and achieve goals.

I was very happy to see Dark 3 had an instruction manual.

Those cool games that you clearely see they were cheap made but they were fun as hell. Every friend of mine ahd different games and we used to lend and borrow from everyone. Now everyone ahs the same fucking games.
Nowadays it is either AAA with "muh graphix" or indieshit that barely has anything going for it besides "my artsy and deep indieshit".

A lot of your mobile games.

I feel angry. Did Capcom make this?

I miss being able to bring my save to a friends house. Now you just get some fucking stupid "This save wasn't made on this profile/account" error. I blame achievements, those useless pieces of shit. Wouldn't want anyone to get achievements they didn't earn, now! Better make sure there is never any reason to bring a game to your friends house! They can buy their own copy!
I guess you can bring your whole god damn console with you but that's kind of a huge pain in the ass depending on your setup.
>>334384363
Damn this game was good. Was the second one any good too?
Commercials and ads that talk shit on the competition.
>>334384363
Anxious and slightly physically ill knowing that unlockables like this just don't happen anymore.
Spider man games have been pretty good about unlocking costumes, trying to keep the practice alive, but damn they're just not as cool or numerous anymore. And some are relegated behind DLC pay-walls.
Same sort of thing happened with God of War.
Unlockable content for sure.
>tfw finally got 100% completion on TimeSplitters 2

Lost of ground levels and fucking Electro as the final boss.
But they let you mix costume looks and abilities.
>no map waypoints
>just get directions and have to navigate on your own
>>334384363
I miss unlockable content so much. When I've finally made a game worth playing, I'll definitely want to include alternate costumes and characters.
Shinobi and Nightshade for PS2 had some pretty great costumes and characters. Shinobi for 3DS did too, actually. That's the most recent game that I can think of that actually had unlockable content.
ITT: Idiot nostalgia fags who can't accept that a game is easier without secrets and it' easier to buy them than autistically waste 20 hours of your life trying to find them
The Ratchet and Clank remake still has gold bolts with unlockables at least.

Gotta monetize that content!
Fun cheat codes, I miss being able to make cars fly in GTA or do a 1000 trick combo in Tony Hawk with the moon gravity code.

Why don't they just start a game at the credits?
>>334390814
Some games allow you to access the credits from the main menu before even starting the game, so some devs do consider this.
