Dark souls is mainly about patience, practice, and timing. This game punishes shield usage much more so try to learn to roll out of the enemies attacks. Iudex Gundyr is pretty hard for a first boss but if you keep trying you will definitely get it. Good luck anon!!

ok. just fight him aggressively. DaS 3 is different than the other games. play more like bloodboren. bosses won't let you have your time. never back off. stand close and circle around.
