I enjoyed the gameplay. I enjoyed the quests. I enjoyed settlements. I even enjoyed the main and side stories. But I just couldn't become attached to any characters in this game. I think it was a combo of the way the character models looked and not enough meaningful dialogue.

Piper is only useful if you rush for Diamond City and spend ages lockpicking things to get her full affinity perk early. Most of the companions are just meat shields to absorb bullets, I like Hancock and Valentine just fine but they don't really bring anything to the table.
Robot DLC companions are the only exception since you can give them ridiculous weaponry and sentry bodies.

Seriously, look at the first DLC. Both of what they offered could be offered with the creation kit. All of workshop and building robots. Would've been easy peasy.
Beth doesn't seem to realize that we want DLC for the storylines combined with new areas to explore. Not this shitty DLC that a modder can make overnight.
