I think the area actually looks quite nice, but texture tiling on ground texture is just horrible. That's some Oblivion/DS2 grade shit.

That and the colors are all over the place, lush and green-ish trees with the ground full of red leaves, some other areas have patches of grass but the forest has none.
They always feel like terrain with some props thrown at random.

The weapon, armor and shield clipping is killing me. I get that shit like hair and cloth is difficult, but getting a solid piece of metal to not clip through another piece of metal IN THEIR DEFAULT POSITIONS shouldn't be that difficult.
From is just lazy and complacent as fuck in many regards.

Also you can hit many enemies who are behind doors and some enemies will throw themselves into pits while trying to chase you it's jist embarasing.

Still a fun game tho.

Because their comfort zone was making low-budget niche games with simple graphics, which worked in DeS and DaS and everything before them.

But now that Dark Souls is a big name they're expected to compete with games with much bigger budgets and higher fidelity. Their answer is to just clutter the fuck out of the environments even if stuff clips or has missing textures. Probably also the reason why BB and DaS3 have such aggressive pop-in. Their engine isn't built to handle this many props onscreen.

What? Those areas weren't cluttered like BB and DaS3. Izalith obviously had some missing textures and clipping issues and too much bloom, but other than that they were some of the best-looking areas in the game.
