I actually couldn't get the game run at all at first. It crashed on launch and gave an ntdll.dll failure so I concluded it's probably a some driver issue and it wasn't gpu drivers because I had already tested that. I did a fresh install of windows 7 because I couldn't be assed to go through all the drivers. It actually started working without issue on a fresh install.
I just wish it wouldn't crash when:
1. Being near bonfires at max settings
2. Crashing when summoning or being summoned

Another anon made a point about the game running at 30 FPS being the standard, and the lack of optimization being partly due to that. I think if that were entirely the case they'd include a 30 FPS limit as an option.
But I am running with a processor well below minimum, with a graphics card that is worse than the 750 TI and with adaptive half refresh rate the game runs great. Just capping the framerate to 30 was choppy as hell though.

Pretty much. I've really only had issues with one boss so far, every other one I've beaten first try. I've been running through solo. The one boss I had issues with I got down really low a couple times. After about my third or forth attempt I just summoned someone and managed to blaze through it with no issues. That's the only time thus far I've summoned someone. I remember having a lot more trouble getting through Dark Souls 1 and 2.

This game is easy so far with my strengh butcher knife character. Only somewhat challenging boss is abyss watchers. 1st half they kill themselves. Second was cake when I realized it was an easier reskin of maria from bloodborne
