Ratchet and Clank remake/movie tie in is pretty good.
Rest is mobile shit
don't worry senpai, we got movie tie inmobilegames now

>diamond
A bit strong there anon. Swinging is great but everything else is dog shit. You want a diamond in the rough movie game you get Batman Begins. Had no right being as good as it was and I'm pretty sure it was the prototype for the Arkham games.
>>334355098
>original spiderman movie game
>put in the cheat to play as green goblin
>expect it to just be a reskin
>mfw its a fully different character with different dialogue with an original story of being harry osborn trying to figure out whats happening with oscorp and his father
that shit was top tier

>that smokey look used to hide floors
I still remember the excuse used in the original Spider-Man ps1 game about doc ock releasing a gas across the city that left only rooftops above it.
Still didn't make me happy that I couldn't go anywhere else
>>334355098
Yes. Yes I did.
>>334360359
Personally I didn't give a fuck, so many games used it that it was just another thing but it was neat that Neversoft actually came up with a plot point to excuse it. Also helped that it was a damn fine game.
Should only be played on DC though, the PS1 models are embarrassing.
>>334360491
FLIPENDO
Lego Marvel Superheroes is pretty great, though not technically a movie tie-in
Don't mind me
Scott Pilgrim was great
>>334360504
Played it on ps1, don't care I still loved it. Never has there been a game with such a wide rogues gallery for a hero, a long story, different settings and all like that game. Shit was so good.
How haven't they been able to make another good Spider-Man game? The last good one was ultimate Spider-Man on ps2. That's two generations ago. Since then we've had a bunch of games where webs stick to the sky again, shitty mechanics trying to be the new arkham city and all no fun

Speak for yourself Web of Shadows was pretty good, as was Shattered Dimensions, their DS counter parts are decent too if you like metroidvanias.

>web of shadows
The goat Spider-Man combat I think, webstrike was a stroke of genius, taking combat from ground to wall to air seamlessly was a amazing. Outside that though I wasn't a fan, story was weak, bosses apart from vulture were no fun, web stuck to the sky when this was perfected a generation ago. It was one step forward one step back. A combination of proper web swinging, their combat, ps1 Spider-Man villains/characters and story in a nice breathing city (just face lift liberty city from gta4 1:1) would be the goat Spider-Man game.

Call me a barneyfag all you want, I won't deny it.
But holy shit the toybox mode in Toy Story 3 was fucking dope.

chamber of secrets was a great game. i remember flying around hogwarts on a broomstick finding cool areas with my brother. good times
>>334361323
>Grew up on a farm, this was the only non-halo game with local multiplayer me and my brother had for like 5 years
>Every game only involves teams scoring once or twice, almost never had any team get more than 50 points in any single match
>It always comes down to who can catch the snitch
>When it gets down to the very last second, both of us start shoving each other and trying to knock the controller out of each other's hands
>Tfw pretending to be a graceful loser but inside promising to kick his ass later
God that game was fantastic
>>334360945
>Some faggot cleaning windows on a skyscrapers orders delivery pizza
>Time only allows for a perfect or a very near perfect web swing landing
>Finally get it to him
>"Ayy this pizza is all messed up"

Spiderman on the ps1 was so good. All those alternative outfits and the whole what-if? storymode with alternate cutscenes. Hot diggity.
Seeing Ghost Rider randomly go up and down buildings, Johnny Storm at the beginning doing a big 4 in the sky.

A lot of them actually. Granted, I was a kid and there weren't so many games to choose from but still, I've had a good time with these...
Spider-Man: The Movie - basically Spider-Man 3. It takes the core mechanics from the first two Neversoft Spidey games and makes them bettee or at least more polished. Bosses were great and you could even unlock Green Goblin mode which actually gave you a different character with his own move set and lines of dialogue.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (cartoon tie-n but what's the difference really) - simple yet fun beat'em-up from Konami. Loved it for visuals and soundtrack. Co-op with friends was great. It also had awesome arena mode where you get to fight all of the bosses and even the one completely new. You could also unlock Splinter and Casey Jones as playable characters.
TMNT2 Battle Nexus - a game that is quite different from the first one. It has more fast-paced combo-system which required very quick inputs. There were also 4 extra characters to unlock and the story which was great. As I didn't watch the latest seasons of the cartoon, Battle Nexus actually kept me playing for the story. The arena mode became ven better now packing an actual storyline straight from cartoon.
Chronicles of Riddick: Excape from Butcher's Bay - welp, we all know how cool this game is. Not only it was better than the actual CoR movie, it could rival such games as Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 which were staples of the genre back in the day. Its immersive, grants player a lot of gameplay and level variety and still looks pretty good.
X-Men Origins Wolverine - another example of tie-in game being better than the movie. Very fun slasher with actual violence only seen in comicbooks. It also had pretty nice easter eggs and boss fights. But be aware that the good Wolverine game came out for PC, PS3 and X360. Versions for PSP and PS2 are completely different and terrible.
SEEK ME OUT THE DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH
..THE DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH
....the diamond in the rough
I really enjoyed the Godfather game. I think it was neat how it incorporated its story into the film's. It was a bit unpolished but did some nice things.
>>334362184
This was also very good.
And that's about it. The Lego games are fun for what they are, and the humor is actually refreshing.
>>334366741
>Aladdin
>Lion King
>Toy Story
>Jungle Book
>...Pocahontas
I played all these games on the GEN and loved them. They're legitimately great. Old 16bit versions of the Disney tunes helped.
LOTR: the return of the king on PS2 was great
however, I believe it did give me the fear of caves collapsing while I'm in them
>>334355098
>Did you guys ever enjoy a movie tie in game?
Yes.
Many others too like superheroes ones and LotR the two towers on ps2. Toy story 2 was also great.
The disc was damaged so I never got to finish it.

Not really. You can probably count all the good ones on one hand.

>>334371450
>They actually modeled in alternate, geometrically simpler insulation for GC and PS2
That's actually pretty nice.

If anything that game is mislabeled as FPS. Yeah sure, it uses the first-person perceptive almost entirely, but it's really not about running and gunning and firearms themselves don't play a major role anyway.
>>334367057
lion king was so good
>>334366378
Pretty good. Extra fun for Spidey nerds because of all the different timelines and VAs.
Also noir Spidey is best Spidey.
