The OG Xbox has a capacitor that keeps the clock powered when you unplug the mains. The cap is prone to leaking and the gunk isn't healthy for the PCB, if you're unlucky it can kill your console. The easy fix is just removing the thing and cleaning the circuit board if it managed to leak already, it's not vital for the console's operation

You need a way to transfer files from the PC to the Xbox and a specific game. You can use a Flash drive and a USB->Xbox adapter, but the thing is picky about the drives it accepts. Newer, larger drives are unlikely to do the trick, so if you have one of those old 1GB drives lying around then this is the perfect use for one. The rest is easy as piss

I actually bought one because of all the cool games on it that weren't backwards compatible with 360. Probably one of the coolest things about it are all the games that support at least 480p output. A handful of games will even render at 1080i, with even more at 720p. Only bad thing is games like Tony Hawk are crystal clear and ultra crisp except for anything in the menus since that stuff is native to its original resolution.
There are a bunch of games I'd never even heard about either like Nightcaster that I bought. Didn't know Sega had so many sequels on it either. Toe Jam & Earl 3?
