However, if you live in a country with shitty labor laws, you basically become an indentured servant. If you were a low-skilled worker in the west, you loose your manufacturing job to some guy in mexico. And a lot of that cash goes toward people in the West, and that "Mono-culture" is basically "Americanization."

In my opinion, a large part of human conflict arises from the battle between individuality and collectivism. We all want to identify with a tribe, and support that tribe, but we're still individuals. And to add, the inefficiencies of a global government would hurt government funded research grants. Right now if multiple nations want to work together on a research project, especially space related, they can already do that.
To me the idea that a one world government would force innovations to be shared and thus progress will occur quicker is... overrated since most of the time when someone discovers a major scientific advancement most developed nations immediately copy it.
I just think that advancement isn't a brute force tactic, it comes from small teams of talented people who can already recruit across borders without the need of a NWO. I just don't believe that government is bottlenecking research right now, except when they ban certain subjects because muh morality.
I really liked how in HR, augmentations were accredited to a single man. Not China, not Japan, not the USA, but one dude.

So in the commentary to human revolution it mentions the purity first terrorists originally were gonna be decked out with high tech power Armour to compensate for their lack of Augs.
