As a mature gamer I quite enjoy the Witcher. If the nudity had been in something like Skyrim or Minecraft, it would be there as sexualized pandering to masturbating kids, but in the Witcher it is used tastefully and makes sense within the context of a narrative.

I'd call it false open world. The sprawling word is there, sure, but the design just doesn't quite tip over from linear to truly sandbox. In the end you're just going along a line to do the one quest at Village 1 and moving on to Village 2 down the road and so on. Yeah some quests send you backtracking, but that's not enough. And this is even worse on skellige, where the quests are mostly confined to single islands, and the islands themselves are effectively circular roads with fluff inbetween.
I guess I'm saying it's open world enough.

That's every "story driven" open world game ever. Main questlines are always like that.

I do not know how to feel about The Witcher 3. I enjoyed it a bit, but mostly because of its characters and story, which was solid and was ended well. But I thought its gameplay was (relatively) ass, and all the metagame stuff like itemization was ass as well. I think the game is pretty good, but it is also vastly overrated in the mainstream community.
