Did people under 22 or so kill the vidya industry by popularising casualisation and hand-holding?
>>
>>334335667
The meme generation.
>>
No. The video game industry killed itself by catering to them.
>>
>>334335667
No
>>
>>334335667
Yes

Anyone who says no is a Gen Z cuck
>>
>>334335667
Does anyone actually use these terms? "Screenagers" sounds like some lame shit a reporter on the news would come up with, and "Click N' Go Kids" sounds like something a 60 year old would say.
>>
>it's the mistress's fault and the the cheating husband's fault
The worst.
>>
>>334336294
>false dichotomy
>use of the word 'cuck'

Worthless opinion, die in a fire
>>
>>334336598
Are you suggesting it's the wife's fault the husband cheats?
>>
Its the parents fault for putting an iphone in their hands. Fuck 2007
>>
>>334336625
Hi cuck, guaranteed you are in your early 20's or younger and thus your opinion is not worth the dogshit I scraped off my shoe.
>>
>>334335667
so what's 1980-1994
>>
>>334337113
master race
>>
>>334335667
am 1995 born

I always google any difficult parts of games or puzzles and I don't like souls/bloodborne because they're too hard. I rented it but it was just annoying

also fuck video games tbqh, I'm basically on the edge of not playing them at all anymore. I have yet to play a single game in 2016 so far besides slither.io. I'm on 4chan /int/ and /v/, reddit, and youtube way more than I actually play games. I haven't played a game since Fallout 4 and even that was meh

I really hope to fuck I've moved well past childish videogames before I hit my mid 20s. I can't believe some of you manchildren on here are actually over 30 like lmfao wtf are you even doing with your life

1980-1994 are called Millennials (named because the oldest graduated around the new millennium). Millennials are/were also known as "Generation Y", though /tv/, /v/, and /pol/ seem to feverishly deny them being one and the same for some reason.

Saying Gen Y and Millennials are separate is like saying England is the same as the UK.
>>
>>334337113
millennials
>>
>>334336651
I'm suggesting the husband is at fault you tard.

You don't want to get cheated on, don't suck a cheating man's dick.
>>
>>334337391
too obvious
>>
>>334336778
Mid 20s but nice try, faggot.

Fuck off with your edgy memes
>>
There was plenty of that beforehand so no.
>>
>>334337489
maybe it is bait-ey but all of it is the truth and my honest opinion

>tfw 94 and barely made it out alive
>>
A lot less kids getting into and dedicating themselves to the arts, through thick and thin. Not talking about college kids, couldn't give two shits about a professionally trained/educated individual.

I've been into stunt inline skating for almost 20 years (jokes aside, there is still a subculture and what not, niche, a lot in the highest talent pool world wide know one another on a first name basis, most are not paid or compensated) Aside from just general and natural disinterest I've noticed several things through each generation.
>dissipation of teenagers/young adults with excessive filming/editing talent and commitment
>lack of drive for major projects, small simple things that can be completed in less then a year.

At times, I feel like I can draw direct comparisons to other mediums and hobbies (video games especially). It's depressing as fuck.

>Gen Z
>starts at 1995
Wait, I thought it started near the mid-2000s
>>
>>334338403
It gets moved back further and further because someone likes what someone else doesn't like.
>>
>>334335667
tfw 92
>>
why does this particular generation get a whole letter as opposed to the last one?
>>
>>334338695
all the cool generations get actual names. the lettered ones are filler generations.
>>
>>334335667
There is more Gen Z in america than millenials and baby boomers rip
>>
"Generations" are an inconsistently-defined concept mostly perpetrated by old people to express how much they hate "today's young people" for not living up to some arbitrary standard that the majority of their own age group likely did not achieve either.
>>
Fuck Gen Z. These are the same fucks who devil's advocate all the shit in the video game industry which is pure cancer.

>Don't like it don't buy it
>DLC is optional
>it's costume DLC, who cares?
>game facet X is the only thing that matters

Fuck. What's worse is that I don't think millennials are ready for the cluster fuck the baby boomers have left us with.

I prefer to lump all 90s kids together and call them millenials, regardless of its actual definition.

That's not how generations work you dumb shit, 1981-2000 is still Millennials (Gen Y).
>>
>>334338695
>>334338775
Millennials(1980-1994) are also sometimes called "Generation Y", many even prefer the latter moniker.

Dammit. I know a trend when I see one. In two years, getomem posters on Facebook are going to be using this.
>>
>>334335667
DLC?
It was Bethesda.
Horse Armor.
The game was shit, the only good bits were the Dark Brotherhood mission set (written by ex-Looking Glass dev) and the Shivering Isles (an actual expansion).
The kids didn't know any better, but the ones that did let it slide, then the business cunts realized what they could get away with.
No here we are.
Fuck Todd.
Casualization?
It was The Big Bang Theory, it dragged those who never played games into the market.
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, while not a bad game, did the same, the jocks and wannabe fratboy fucks who never touched games became the mainstay of the market; even Valve began hiring that level of retard as the perceived 'average' for playtesting.
We let it happen, by not voting with the only thing corporations think about.

I was 25 in 2007, worked as a game dev for an indie for far too long, before kickstarter and greenlight, seriously, the industry are a pack of rabid dogs that need a newspaper to the nose to keep them from shitting on the carpet and raping the cat.
>>

That explains a few things. That questline was legitmately good, not just good by TES standards. The mansion party quest in particular was god tier.

>People literally born in the 90's
An entire generation of people who will never experience a cultural golden age, because they born after one.
>>
>>334335667
No, YOU killed it by letting it happen like the cuck you are.
>>
>>334342745
93 and agreed...

But to be fair, most people I meet are less likely to be total losers the further they are away from the birth date of 2000, until you get to children of the 60s, and shit gets worse.
