First one

Easy game with hard mode
What's the point of an easy mode that will lack challenge because you just beat the game on hardest difficulty?
I like games with no difficulty settings.
Difficulty settings just do stupid stuff like inflate HP pools or make enemies hit harder.
Balance your own fucking game before releasing it.

Second one that mocks the players for easy mode.
Which side will you choose?
I would assume an easy game with hard mode to be artificial difficulty, in having a simple boost to enemy health and whatnot. Whereas an easy mode on a hard game would simply give room for error.
Either way that isn't necessarily true and a normal mode is preferential

Right twix is Trump.

Dead Rising 3's hard mode was really fucking easy

I rather the easy with optional hard mode since I will get used to play on easy then jump on the hard one and get stomped (in teory) while if I play the hard one with optional easy means that I will not get any extra satisfaction from a second run since I already did the first one on the hardest difficulty.
This is not even a dilemma.
Forced easy mode is the superior option.
