Oh, and if you're wondering specifically about Neptunia: I like how where you position your party members on the battlefield affects the enemy's ability to hit you and/or multiple party members. I like the bright and cheerily colored environments, and I like the music, with the rock tracks in particular being a highlight of the series. They add a lot of tension to the boss fights.

It cost $1 in a Humble Bundle and is the most kick-ass action game I've ever played, with even more combat options than Metal Gear Rising, which was already fantastic. There's so much variety to the combat, and metal soundtrack compliments it well. Plus the game is just gorgeous; environments are highly detailed and even change as you move through them, which is kind of cool.

DmC has one huge pitfall. Colour coded enemies. Those were removed in the Definitive Edition and the combat got better because of that.
It's not the worst of the worst but far cry from the best at the same time.
Be warned though, even though there's options in combat most enemies are shit throughout all DMC titles. Best parts are 1v1s with Vergil, Credo and Dante desu.
