They replaced him with "Hey, you've got enough bolts for the _______, come see me" and "Woah, that's a lot of raratanium, come by when you want to upgrade a weapon."
The music from the 2002 game by David Bergeaud feels better suited imo. I'm not against the orchestral style of the new game but it would have been nice to incorporate similar melodies from the original game.

Ok: Ratchet works in a garage. He is fan of Captain Meme, who is a Galactic Ranger.
First scene is Ratchet having repaired the eject seat of the ship of an old alien geezer except He actually made more things than just repairing it: he tuned it and added a Powerful magnet because why not (just a fucking excuse for the next scene)
It activates and magnetize a lot of machines and metallic stuff.

Crank crash on Ratchet planet, they meet and Crank says the vilain Drek wants to destroy planets and they must tell the galactic rangers.

They did use the old geezer ship ratchet repaired to go help the rangers.
An army of robot is attacking and a big ship attacks too (I Forgot to say they were made by Nefarious not-robot form, working along with Drek)
Fight scene with lasers occurs. Fucking wilhelm cry (Yes...) when one of the robots is destroyed.
Ratchet and Clank flies over the city and Clank has an idea: he uses the magnetizer stuff to magnetize all the robot and made them explodes on the big enemy ship.
For some reason Victor isn't pulled by the magnet (stupid as fuck)
Ratchet saved the city.
Everyone applaudes him and consider him a ranger. Captain meme is jealous.
Ratchet becomes prideful and Captain meme jealous. They'll be trained by the team.
