VR has come quite a long way since old VR. Not sure if people even had any old VR headsets but I did and they were terrible.
I don't think the new VR stuff will do very well though. I think it will have some decent practical applications outside of games however.
But they're made a lot of progress over the years and we can only get better.
I'm of the mind that until it feels like we've literally been teleported into the game world then VR will forever be a gimmick. People will find it fun enough and there will be a few gems on it but other than that I don't really see it replacing normal gaming methods.
I can see them milking it for other uses.
