White Wolf really missed the chance to capitalize upon it's success.
In the 90's it was the second biggest gaming company ever, just snapping at the heels of TSR. It had a whole slew of games in the making, even a Werewolf one with Capcom, but ended up shooting down every single one.
Out of Mage, Changeling, Werewolf, Hunter and Vampire, only the latter two got games.
The Hunter ones were a'ight. Redemption was bretty gud. Bloodlines was masterful with the amount of effort that went into it.
The MMO was a fucking farce from start to end. Fuck CCP for stringing people along for the best part of a decade. They even stamped out a Multiplayer mod that fans were making for Bloodlines. Fuck 'em.

It was breddy gud, though I was slightly (very slightly) dissapointed by some aspects of it.
The stealth seems a bit bizarre, for lack of a better word. The guards barely have any peripheral vision but if you so much as nudge them when sneaking up to stealth kill them (which, by the way, sometimes simply refuses to work) they'll notice you immediately.
Sometimes I'd just get stuck on walls or rocks and have to either save and reload to break free or just wait 10 or so seconds in order to resume playing. During some cutscenes, my character would bug out and look really fucking stupid.
The one thing that drags down the game for me, though, is the ending. I was just dissapointed that there wasnt more to it, after all the hyping up about what might happen. Seemed really dumb.For the record, I opened it.
Still, I enjoyed most of my time with the game and I can see why its so beloved by many, despite its occasional awkwardness and bugs. Its not quite the "Deus Ex. Vampire Edition" some promised me but its still pretty damn good.And now I have a vampire fetish.

I just watched a few seconds of a video of meeting Velvet Velour and holy fucking hell it flooded me with remembering exactly how great VtM:B was. Every single moment of that game - yes, I'm even going to include the sewer - was something worth remembering. Even if it was janky in a lot of ways, even if it was unfinished (although significantly helped by fan patches). VtM:B is a special moment that I don't think has much chance of being recaptured.
