So judging from that, something pretty simple and maybe even shallow, but plenty of freedom and with good full-party integration. The last two seem to be the case with the new Arte system and the battle party swapping being like Xillia's but with the supports as they switch in reminding me of Hearts DS's shortcuts letting you call in party members not currently in battle to use an Arte.

The battle system is a combination of a lot of things
Firstly A.trees are back like in Graces F and Zestiria. You can map any arte to a slot in the tree this time this time. Artes are mapped to face buttons so that's new. There's also souls now instead of CC/TP. BG doesn't reset either. If you want to extend your combo you need to consume one soul each time. Each character has a unique skill to them, like Velvet and her demon arm. You can switch between characters in battle which aren't in the current party but this time you can even do it during a combo. Each character has a special move they do when switching into battle. There's no linking this time.

I really liked Xillia despite all the irrational hate from perfectionists. The one thing I'll never forgive is Elympios not being expanded on even in X2. You get a few new zones, but with the way it's shown in the openings it should be way bigger and have at least 1 casino or something.

I liked the area for being one of the more original places to visit, but at the same time I found it crazy unsettling and I wish I could know more about it. Same for Oscore Plant. There's just so much introduced that could have been elaborated on. I'm positive cities and landscapes could have been changed more in the alt dimensions but it just wasn't meant to be.

I don't know why but the Tales series has always been my weakness. I don't even like anime. I love JRPGs sure, but I tend to skip shit like Neptunia and Atelier. But tales? I can't miss one, I enjoy them all, even the most shit ones I end up liking one way or another.
