Do you get your fight sticks custom made it do you just buy a regular one?
Xrd Millia is literally perfect.
Buy regular, customize yourself

I used to do this, back when decent arcade sticks weren't outrageous prices.
Now I just build them from scratch. This one has the body of a HRAP 3 that I got (It was completely messed up. For parts, essentially) and just put a bunch of new sanwa stuff on it.
>>333916772
I love this one, I might have to do something similar in the future.
>>333916772
Best way

Thankyuu
I can't get a picture that does it justice, the black under plexi is too reflective and it's hard to get a picture that looks like it does in person. I'm thinking of doing an Egret II one next, I have to design sticks after candy cabs to soothe the pain of having no space in my shitty apartment for real cabinets.
I would build them from scratch if I actually had tools to make cases, finding broken sticks for dirt cheap and just salvaging the case itself seems like a good move
I'm going to be putting together my own arcade stick together soon. I already got all the guts ready to go, I'm just waiting on the Tek-Case I ordered.
I got a WWE brawlstick and bought sanwa and seimitsu parts when I was in akihabara.

>creeper trash
I'd build my own if PCB's weren't expensive.
Somebody post sexy TE2 designs. I bought the Chun li te2 and I need printouts.
>>333916414
whats the source on that millia pic
I use a keyboard and wreck everyone with their 400 dollar sticks
They just make the game harder

Buy private and second hand. There's some Arcade/STG forums out there that handle member only Markets (You have to become active for a while) and you can score some nice PCB/CPS2 whatever you're in the market every once in a while.

>I have to design sticks after candy cabs to soothe the pain of having no space in my shitty apartment for real cabinets.
Same here, I made part of my desk into a pseudo-cabinet area for more immersion. If you don't have access to tools to cut the materials, then it is best to stick to broken sticks and just sand down, repaint and stuff which you don't need power tools.

More hilarious/lewd fight sticks please?
>>333916772
I have pic, how hard is it to get cover off?/what's the best way
>>333919469
Not at all, billions of tutorials out there on youtube.
>>333918526
I second this
what's the best stick for poorfags?
>>333918894
L-lewd
>>333920268
Anything except those Mayflash ones on ebay. Fucking hate those things, knock off tier parts and almost impossible to mod due to dick placement of screws on some boards.
They may be cheap, but not worth it. Spring for something in the 70 dollar range, you never know, you might find a second hand deal or something cheaper by Hori. There's also those madcatz Wrestling sticks, easy to mod, cheaper than the rest. They're just a bit tougher to find sometimes.
>>333920268
quanba q1 works on pc and last gen dont know what poorfags do on ps4 i think hori
>>333920351
>futa
i just started playing fighting games this year. figured i could just use a ps4 controller since thats what im already used to. its all preference from what i heard. buying a premade stick sounds way easier, but if i could get a custom stick, id only be worried about the design on it. if i could get pic related on a fight stick i might just start using them
>>333920351
Shit, I'd buy a Sakura version.
>>333920268
Hori EX2
I'd dig to have mine made or to learn how to tweak mine, but as parts hare harder-ish to get in third world land I just have a regular one.
>>333916772
Astro City a best.
>>333920525
That's not futa.
This isn't futa either, this is newhalf.
>>333920554
Now I want to do a Sailor Moon stick, fuck.
>>333920554
>if i could get a custom stick, id only be worried about the design on it
A lot of premade sticks are designed such that you can put your own art on them, like having some clear plexiglass that you can stick a printout under.
>>333920351
Artist so familiar but I can't place it
How easy/hard is it to mod the Hori real arcade pro4? I like the buttons and stick but a few guys on my local have the exact same one, so I don't want any confusion. Plus I like customised ones.
Fuck I want a new Hori stick to mod because I prefer that body type but I just put an MC Cthulhu in some shitty MLG-flavored Mad Catz TE I got off Craigslist.

Carve your name into the face of it with a pocketknife.
>>333918894
>go to friends home to play some fightan
>he gives you this controller
never fails to amuse me how some people do this kind of shit.
>>333921609
Can't you just get a RAP or something then carry over the rest of your current parts into it?
What are good design principles for a hori rap 4/5? The front of the stick is really narrow and I haven't really seen and good custom stick art with rap 4 or 5
Other than this
>>333916772
>>333921498
I'm this guy >>333917463 for reference/source.
I work with HRAPs mostly because of how easy it is. Unless you're modifying the size of buttons or anything else, you're literally just screwing and unscrewing a few things and rewiring. You do have to take out the buttons and ball top to change art, which is what I assume you are mostly aiming for.
>>333921498
Swapping the balltop or buttons is cake and won't take more than a few minutes tops.
>>333916414
The thumbnail made me think it was censoring dog nipples.
>>333917463
I just finished refitting stuff into my old hrap 3 ex I wasn't using
I really like the shell but lol that you say they're easy to work with having those annoying bottom mounted hex nuts
I want to buy a TE2 shell just to mess with it but I can't really justify the price because I don't even play on stick usually
>>333918894
Only thing bad about this stick is the placement
Get this southpaw shit out of here
>>333921830
Ah thanks.
Yeah I only want to change the art since I like the default buttons. Guess it's time to make the layout and print that shit out.
>Not whooping ass and cultivating salt with a Michael McDonald stick
It's so smooth.
>>333921828
Designing your own art with a character vector on the left of the joystick tends to work pretty well.
The proportions are weird and you're unlikely to find a full art picture you can stretch across it without having to cut off important details
>>333921794
Yeah I probably should just do this. I put a Hayabusa in there and some OBS-MX Sanwas as well and could probably just swap everything out. There's a few new Horis out, any significant differences between them? The only current gen one I have is the DoA stick with the little analog nubs.
>>333919086
I was also thinking of possibly just getting RAP of some kind.
Or maybe getting a cheap 360 controllers guts to use to make a stick instead.
