In this thread, tell us about the games you started out loving to play but eventually people pointed out flaws to you that made you hate it.

None. I'm not a faggot.

This.

On the contrary, I got tons of games /v/ said was shit, but ended up being great.

> Play halo
> this is actually pretty fun
> get to library level

All in all it's not bad, it's just it's fan base that's the problem.
>>
League of Legends comes to mind.

People keep telling me to hate Call of Duty but it's the most fun party game I own that people like to play and is so nostalgic to play old maps like Terminal on MW2.
>>
>>333904148

MGSPW is a pretty good example. As a standalone title measuring up to the stealth action of the previous games, its mediocre at best. However once you get deep into it, shit gets obvious that Kojima designed it to be a handheld MonHun shooter.

MGS Peace Walker is alot more fun to play if you got a bro with you. Combined health powers, power words and firepower made the game alot less grindy than people made it out to be.

Also the endgame was pretty much the other half of the content.

The trouble OP is it pretty much everything that isn't call of duty is considered a 'meme' game to /v/

This so much. Black Ops 3 PC lets you run splitscreen as "multiple monitors" in Campaign, Zombies and Multiplayer. Shit is pretty rad with friends.
>>
What's wrong with Hotline Miami?
>>
>>333905115
Other than ironically looking like shit still looks like shit, and 95% of the masks are worthless, nothing comes to mind.
>>
>>333905115

apparently op is implying that watching/reading criticisms of a videogame can make you eventually hate it

which is strange since hotline miami 2 seems far more flawed (getting killed by something offscreen) than 1 imo

>Black Ops 3 PC lets you run splitscreen as "multiple monitors" in Campaign, Zombies and Multiplayer.

holy shit thats awsome
>>
>>333905441

you're gonna need a beefy pc to pull it off though

also black ops 3 pc is going to get custom mod/map support later this year

treyarch knows whats up
>>
>>333905352
>hotline miami 2
>getting shot from across the map through two-dozen windows
>hotline miami 1
>enemies don't react even when they're on the same screen

Fuck was up with that change? That was like the antithesis of fun, made Soldier's/Detective's levels an absolute chore. I'm never going to replay it.

Who cares what people think? I backed/own the vinyls and hung up my prints today. Those fucking Swedes are going to bleed me dry.

To be fair, it was the only game in the series I played, so it was good to me. /v/ mostly just gave me the context for it being bad.
>>
>>333906556
Well that's a reason, I guess.
>>
I was a pretty big fan of undertale for a couple days until I noticed it was a meme game.

2 vinyl is sold the fuck out but I spent $60. Good luck finding it for any less than $200. 1 vinyl just finished its Kikestarter which I payed $120 for the vinyl, poster, and import. They say it will be available to non-backers around the time they get shipped which they estimate to be around June. Godspeed.

Always Sometimes Monsters.
It's actually really good.
>>
>>333906698

Thanks for the heads up anon! I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for that.

Doesn't even post a pic and doesn't link to the kickstarter

Here you go anon, you'll probably recognize the art for the HM2 vinyl since it was released when the game came out. The HM1 vinyl just finished it's kickstarter so the art for it is new
>>
>>333906698

I wonder how long vinyl being the vogue choice for collectors is going to last.

I don't know. I believed Dennaton said HLM would end with 2, so I wanted to nab as much merch as I could. I wasn't interested in the Gamer's Edition, though. I don't even own a vinyl player.
