Back when I used to play Mech Warrior Online I thought VR would be amazing for it not only for immersion but also it would allow you to look around inside your cockpit and even look out the sides of the cockpit without actually having to turn your mech which would be a big deal.
This could also easily be applied to driving/racing games, flying/dog fighting games, etc. There you go, there's one reason.

The hl2 vr demo is better than anything I've yet to see come from this launch.
