Leveling has never been fun past Vanilla. Leveling will never be fun. Leveling is barely even a tertiary concern compared to raiding, which is what keeps the long-term sub numbers.

honestly man, you missed out, what we experienced will never be seen again in a video game ever, in terms of the whole vanilla/tbc experience. Like people literally died over that shit (starvation, suicide from not getting in guilds, letting their kids die, etc). Families fell apart because of it. Reputations among the whole realm could be ruined in an instant with one thread of the forums. It felt real, or like the shit you did actually mattered.
