Could a Kill la Kill fighting game work?

Action might work if you go with the typical Marvelous or Platinum style:
>lots of mooks to chop up
>killing enemies fills a fiber gauge
>fill the gauge to transform
>can be used for further transformation too (flying, spikes, etc)
>specials out the ass with flashy looks
>fibers collected can be spent after battles on upgrades to Senketsu

Too many variations for each character, a lot of moves and fighting styles change with costumes. I think it would make a cool fighting game but it seems impractical to make.

What can a KLK game offer that a musou our platinum game doesn't already?
Nothing, that is all.
There is no point to making a KLK game, all it can do is recycle the formula of games that are already good and add a waifu skin to it.
Besides, investing in a sequel of those games would be much better than risking an adaptation of a show that wasn't all that popular.

I believe for a while the frenchies who owned the rights to Kill la Kill where in talks with Platinum about making a game however I know that the creator of the series is very adamant about not wanting to go back and add more story to the KLK franchise.
Best case scenario is that Ryuko, Satsuki and Jakuzure could be added to Nitro Plus Blasterz as DLC characters
