regular mario get likes2 - 3 hit points most of the time.
paper mario can have 50 or so, and super guard and zap tap, and pretty lucky, and danger mario.
If we go off the only game both of them appeared in (Paper Jam), I'd say regular Mario has the advantage.

Paper Mario's higher speed and better dodging ability would make it a close fight for sure, though.
