The real issue with the demo is how easy warp striking makes the fight. You literally just warp strike from a high point, wail on the boss while he's down, repeat.
If they took away these warp points or the fact that it makes the boss vulnerable for so long, it would fix that issue.
The other problem is the fps and input lag. Even dodging/blocking is pretty hard because you need precise timing which the input lag interferes with.
If they fix these two issues, it would perfect the battle system. It's got a ton of depth to it for a demo which makes me really excited for the game.

There is 4 kinds of team attacks
1 = Party commands, you manually give party commands from a menu, you press L1 then a command for Gladio, Ignis, Prompto and Cor are mapped to each direction of the Dpad, press a direction will execute that command
2 = Slashlink, these happen based on the proximity of other party members to Noctis and when he's about to do a "Vanquish" type attack, if they are closeby then it will be triggered on its own and they will join in on the finisher, otherwise Noctis doe a Vanquish finisher attack on his own, an example of this is the Ignis and Noctis X-Strike
3 = Cross Links, all we know is that these are initiaed by the party but they now don't work like how they did in the demo, we don't know the specifics of these
4 = Counters/parries with the team, similar to Slashlink the other party members join in based on their proximity to Noctis, you can see this in the demo like Cross Counter on a Garula
