Is it too much to ask for a Bomberman game on PC with an online mode? Just port the XBLA game.
Bomberman 64: The 2nd Attack was a better singleplayer experience, but the multiplayer was about the same for the 1st and 2nd games.

Power Bomberman is an excellent and amazingly well done clone, it has online MP but it's hit and miss.
But as long as you forward ports the proper way and the people you're playing with are relatively close to you, there shouldnt be big problems.
