So it's like a side-scrolling Life is Strange, but no one says "hella" so I cringed less.

Think this game is on my wishlist. Is it any actual good?

I feel like only five people on /v/ have played this, it even disappointed me more than LiS but I really enjoyed it for the first two hours and the nightmare at the manor was extremely well done I think.
But now going through my steam library I think I have buyers remorse.
Life is Strange mentioned
I liked, it was a little surprise. Nothing more than that, I even forgot about it until I saw this thread, but I don't feel like I wasted time.

The gameplay's standard, but I thought it was decent overall. Had some solid ominous moments for a side-scroller, and a fair amount of variation in dialogue.
Would have liked for it to be a little longer though. There's some interesting implications from the devs that the game's ARG will result in an expansion for the ending, but I don't know whether to hold my breath for it.

>game's ARG adding more to the ending
I'm still holding out for this being true. Would have thought it was fans grasping at straws if the devs didn't seem to tease that it was possible.

How do I do that with a trip code

>nightmare at the manor
I thought the horror moments were surprisingly well done, considering the visuals.

>ARG
The hidden voicemail messages that people have uncovered are interesting, but I don't know what they're leading up to.Alex: "Hey people who are hopefully listening to this, that maybe includes another version of me, I need a connection to emergency services, be-"
Which could imply thata version of Alex is aware of the loop, and she's still trying to reach out to someone on the outside.

its interactive art. of the narrative-driven games this one has the most voice acting and branching dialogue and the stories pretty neat / cozy.
firewatch was too 'waah, us indies'
LiS was too 'waah, we're old french guys this is what american cultures like to us'
oxenfree just tried to be exactly what it was, a fun story.
