I thought it was funny. I don't see what the big deal is. To me the biggest crime of an advert is to be boring or annoying to watch, if it's actually amusing then what's the problem? I mean it's not like it's not obviously an ad. It's not secretly trying to brainwash you. I don't feel compelled to buy Ford cars now. People react so strongly to advertisements. Besides it's not like anyone is selling out or anything. Metal Gear has had product placement in it for over a decade and Otacon was a giant Mac-fag in MGS4.

My first car was a shitty broken 95 Ford Fiesta that I got for £200 and fixed. I got my first brand new straight from the dealership car in 2013 and it was a 2013 VW Up!.

In the UK most people of my generation will never get on the housing ladder and will rent forever with how fucked both the rent and housing market are. By far the best car in that price range when I got it. Cheap as fuck to insure and with barely any emissions tax. This year I'll finish paying it off and can part exchange up into some actually nice cars at very reasonable rates. First step of the ladder ain't glamorous but the Up! was the best option and I've grown pretty fond of it anyway.
