miitomo platinum and normal platinum funtion the same, its just the miitomo coins are marked that way because you get them from miitomo. you get the normal platinum coins from completing missions. the gold coins you get from buying games. the platinum coins get different rewards than gold coins.

In every previous Picross that uses the touch screen, stylus mode allows you to hold up/down down on the d-pad to turn filling/crossing squares on and off. If you release up/down, it turns filling/crossing squares off.
In Zelda Picross, it now LOCKS INTO PLACE, so you have to manually tap up/down every time you want to turn filling/crossing off.
This is retarded as all fuck in a game where you're supposed to fucking count squares. Especially when, by default, every Picross game had filling/crossing turned off until you held it on. In Zelda Picross, every puzzle automatically starts with filling turned on, so if you start counting squares you'll start filling them in by accident.
The entire Zelda Picross Miiverse is bitching nonstop about it and want Nintendo fucking fix it.

The biggest problem is how long the coins last and how you earn gold coins. I didn't link many accounts yet just because I don't want the points to expire, there's nothing I want on there right now and what little I might be interested in costs gold coins. I'm not buying any games digitally unless it's only available that way and I'm certainly not buying full $60 retail games digitally, so I'm basically never getting any gold coins unless they allow registering of physical games
The coupons are pointless, most of those games can be found for 15-30% off already if you shop around, and you're not stuck with a sizable download on your paltry 32GB drive. Dump those or make them worth it. I hate how averse Nintendo is to discounting their own digital games, even their current spring sale is a scant 30% off, at most. The first-party games on sale have been available for less many times in the past.
