Between Naoto and HOSol, how come ASW are so good at making copies of their MCs play so differently? It seems like other fighting games just try and keep them as close to the original as possible, but those two just play entirely different from their counterparts.

Because their existance in the story is specifically the same, and they're the only two characters who share a Drive.Naoto being present in BB is the reason why Ragna is gradually being overwritten. Considering all the death flags Ragna has been raising, you can probably see why many if not most people expected Naoto to play just like him as a replacement.

The Noel in BB isn't even the real Noel. The real Noel is found in CF.

Noel is actually the center of the story right now, with almost everyone wanting to either use her to fufill their desire, kill her, or protect her from being used by others.
The only exceptions that come to mind are Relius, Valkenhayn, Naoto, Lambda, and potentially Rachel since she's more focused on Ragna with Noel as an afterthought.
