How come this game didn't feel as fun as its predecessors?
switching between toons was a chore
Probably because it was way more fun.
>>333691382
Because you have shit taste.
>>333691382
because you're a faggot
>>333693772
>>333693679
>>333692512
You're all blind fanboys.
Pikmin 1 and 2 were by far better than 3. Pikmin 3 can suck my dick. It was way too short and had way too many captains.
Pikmin 2 is a classic, piratefags should give it a shot.
>>333691920
low tier bait
>>333694403
>way too many captains.
sounds like you just suck at even the most basic RTS elements
It didn't feel as fun because it's not as fun.
It's that simple.
>>333694934
This. Why the fuck do so many faggots defend Pikmin 3 on here anyway? I'm a die-hard pikmin fan and Pikmin 3's flaws are blatantly obvious.
>>333695082
because they feel 3 is as good or better than previous entries. you have autism if you can't comprehend how someone's opinion can differ from yours
>>333695330
What's truly autistic is how fans of pikmin 3 won't acknowledge everything that's wrong with the game.
>it's a first party nintendo game so it's good by default!
Very low agency. Everything just felt like "What does the game want me to do next in this story." In Pikmin 1 and 2 you had to think "Alright today do I want to do this or this to get to my ultimate goal of (30 parts/$10,000)"
In Pikmin 3 they tell you that the goal is fruit but it's really finishing the story
The game is short as fuck, and although I enjoyed it as well as the Challenge Modes, it does fall flat in many aspects, such as enemy role call, and overall areas to explore. Lack of Piklopedia was a huge step down from 2, and the fruit notes just didn't carry the same charm.
On the other hand, it introduced me to the best captainnext to Olimar, of course.
>>333695754
Does Pikmin 3 even have its own story?
It's even more derivative on the past two games than Pikmin 2 was on Pikmin 1. Hurr crash land on planet and collect shit.
And who the fuck decided we should collect boring ass fruit anyway?
Why the fuck did they not restock the fucking restock that happened early March? Fucking Nintendo.
>>333695923
>Not Brittany
>>333691382
>How come this game didn't feel as fun as its predecessors?
what the fuck are you talking about m8?
I enjoyed it more than 2, at least. All the fruit looked so fucking delicious and multitasking captains was a fantastic addition. I seem to remember the challenge missions being pretty fun too, though I wasn't quite into em enough to try the DLC.
>>333696191
Fuck Brittany, that bitch didn't wanna share the juice
>>333695754
>>333695923
See I like this because it actually answers OP's question without just saying "The game is bad...obviously" which tells me nothing.
I enjoyed pikmin 3 but can absolutely agree that it was missing a sense of urgency and that losing the Piklopedia was so unnecessary and it should be back for 4.
I thoughw the area and enemy design was top notch in 3 though, the areas felt great to explore and bosses easily ripped apart everything but Rock Pikmin when you first saw them as it should be.
>>333696104
You're probably jaded to it
Pikmin Trilogy for NX, please.
I thought it was as fun, but it was easier, and shorter than the predecessors, making it unreplayable to me at least
>>333696191
>Worst character since Louie
>Stuffs her face behind the others' backs
>Whines and pouts if she's called out on it
>Doesn't want Charlies fat Koppaite cock down her throat
Everything is wrong with her.
>>333691382
bla bla
>>333691382
I didn't really get engrossed in it, I think the length and lack of interactions with the world was lacking
>>333696447
The moth thing brings in another problem I have, despite the beautiful scenery (Probably the Wii U's best) this game feels SO empty. I'm not sure if it's a lack of new enemies, a lack of enemies in general, or both. It feels more like a Zoo than it does an alien world. Most of the new enemies are pretty cool, though.
>>333696646
Wasn't there a lot of bullshit going on what with him dropping his babies everywhere?
>>333696536
Yeah but she's got pink hair
You must forgive me anon
>>333696559
Yeah I seem to remember this taking about 4 hours. I know you could beat Pikmin 2 and 1 in very little time, but the amount of time you spend thinking about what you're gonna do next, or even trying it and fucking up, it just makes it feel longer and more enriched. The way you have to think about it creates memories and a lasting experience. Pikmin 3 just feels like it's trying to show me something. I remember one part with spider webs or something, and it wasn't like "Oh there are spider enemies here, keep that in mind in your decision making." It just had spider enemies so that the game could show them to me.
>>333691382
I absolutely enjoyed Pikmin 3 and think it's as good as its predecessors, but the truth is that it was predictable as hell. There were very few surprises in it. Hell, it even removed some features, like the funny names for treasures or the Piklopedia.
The only time the game really surprised me was the final level Formidable Oak where the final boss chased you through the entire tree. I thought it was intense and a smart shift of gameplay. I feel like if Pikmin 3 had been more of that, instead of a few maps with mini-puzzles scattered across them that lead to fruits(treasures).
Summing it up, Pikmin 3 takes Pikmin 1 and 2 and repeats the formula in a solid manner, but doesn't really add anything that'll shock you outside of the last hour of the game.
>>333697064
I'd say Louie taking all you juice was pretty unexpected and the fruits did have weird names
>>333697184
Eh, I guess it was surprising, but the shock quickly wore off when you grab your first fruit and realize you'll be perfectly fine.
Gameplay wise it wasn't really that big an impact.
>>333691382
I felt like there was too much focus on eye candy rather than good gameplay mechanics. Also the gamepad shit was cumbersome as hell.
>>333697587
This. The gamepad ruined the game for me.
>>333696869
Have this.
Took it on my first play-through of the game.
I loved Pikmin 3. The missions were great, but mostly co-op was just fantastic if you could get a friend who wanted like you to set out and 100% the missions.
>>333695729
>It's a first party nintendo game so it's good by default
Not true because Pikmin 2 was trash.
Pikmin has the deepestcaves.
>>333691382
>why isn't a rehash as fun as the original
because you've played it before.
>>333699049
I'm worried I'll feel this about Dark Souls 3.
>>333697641
Then don't use them? The wii controls work great.
>>333691382
Because it's casualized Neo-Nintendo garbage.
>>333695754
>In Pikmin 3 they tell you that the goal is fruit but it's really finishing the story
That's why it keeps track of all fruit runs, right?
I thought it was the best one personally.
