Having Dinput is basic ass functionality and the default for windows. Not having it is pure laziness. Its doubly bad when fucking SFV doesnt have Dinput support which means that you cant even use the madcatz fightsticks that was advertised alomg with the game. And yes, I loved Generations and All Stars Transformed. I can only hope Sega makes more, but for the time being I'm looking towards the modding community.

You rang? I've been waiting until we made some MAJOR progress before sharing anything again.
First off: we've overhauled the game's entire color palette. Gone are the drab, hyper-realistic colors from >>333693717. We've gone in a direction more akin to how a lot of Classic Sonic artwork looks. Lots of vibrant colors that really give off an otherworldly tone.

Second: Sonic's physics have received a few tweaks as well. Sonic now has a lot more power over slopes while running. Before, the player was all but a slave to the terrain no matter if they were rolling, or running. We decided to let the player feel a bit more empowered in this regard. Now, they will be able to traverse steeper hills without being forced back down by gravity. The player won't be moving too quickly up these hills, naturally, but their sense of exploration will no longer be hindered quite as much.

Third: Gravity itself has been increased, giving Sonic more weight and power to his movements

It's basically an unrelated kids show that wasn't able to get into full production so they just shoved Sonic into it because Sega wanted a show and reusing that shit was easier, cheaper, and faster than coming up with original shit. Just look at the concept art for robotnik and sally. Robotnik looks more like the zelda cartoon ganon.

The reason it had middling quality wasn't because it wasn't "Sonic enough" though. They just wrote stories that didn't go anywhere so they had to wrap them up in the last 5-10 minutes. I don't know if it was because they were lazy or because they couldn't storyboard properly.

Also, the animation just took steep nosedives from time to time. Probably another result of scavenging frames from unused sequences or something.

We considered it, but mechanically there was no need for such a technique. See, in our engine the player can switch back and forth between rolling and running with the push of a button without needing to jump. This was to ensure that the player had as much control over Sonic as possible when traversing the sloping terrain.

As such, in order to achieve the same effect as the Super Peel-out one would simply need to Spin Dash and then immediately shift into running as shown here.

Functionally-speaking, you may perform both the Spin Dash and a psudo-Peel-out of if you so desire. Spin Dash is simply the default.
