More personalities for the villagers and maybe some more dialogue, it gets boring really fast if you have several villagers with the same personality.
More variations for dog and cat villagers.

Well, I did enjoy the shift back to some of the original movement mechanics from before 4 and 4.5, but the total grungy grunge feel was just a little to overboard for me.
More night time activities. More in-town activities in general. Bring back the option to ask specifically if a villager needs something. Would also like more seamless online. Let people come in if they want to come in, don't make me jump through hoops. And don't disable certain features while people are in my town.
Also, I'd like another console release personally.
Bonus Mode: Randomly select tracks from all previous games for each hour.

The ability to designate where villager houses can be built because in NL the options were:

While GC has great dialogue, everything else about the game is done better in successor games.
GC is equal to WW because while WW does some things better, I felt like the game didn't really had anything new to offer, plus the horrible framerate.
That said, all of them are good.
