What are they waiting for?
Now you can fill 3D spaces with invisible blocks.

More powerful hardware to allow the shenanigans of Mario Maker in 3D, most likely
Everything in SMM's NSMBU mode is a sprite but Mario, Yoshi and Bowser. Even then they couldn't get them to run at a full 60fps because of the crazy shit you can do with the game.
>>333610115
>them
With them I mean the enemies and shit, should have clarified that.
Conceptually, 3D Maker is an amazing idea.
What you need to realize though is how it would work in actuality. How would navigating the full 3D level work when making it? How well would the drag, drop, tap, and shake tools work for 3D? Could it even run on the Wii U? And the biggest one, each of the 3D Marios have drastically different intricacies, gimmicks, and design philosophies. Where all the 2D Marios are fairly basic, and they did a great job of making each feel like the original game by sole virtue of them being really similar to each other with some tiny exceptions.
>>333610345
3d grid
>>333610857
That goes without saying, because pretty much every game, 3D or not, runs on a grid. The problem now is how big is each individual section of grid? And for Galaxy, how would the player be able to make their own planets without having them be all samey premades?
Would all the games follow the "Find the Star" design, or will they follow 3D World's more traditional "Make it to the goal" design?
There's also the fact that 3D levels have more chances for it to be unplayable garbage, even more so than 2D levels.
>>333609807
>Letting Panga get his hands on 3D level creation
Oh, I'm not EVER going to be ready for that.
>Would all the games follow the "Find the Star" design, or will they follow 3D World's more traditional "Make it to the goal" design?
why not both?
post SMM levels and I'll 100% play them
>>333611264
a 3d mario maker would only allow 3d world/land level design. Grid spaces would be as big as a ? block.
>>333609807
Should be called Super 3D Mario Maker.
>>333609807
The big problem is the camera I think. When you're in the inevitable tight spaces between objects, how would the camera respond to stuff that's completely new?
>>333613160
it should be called NEW SUPER YOU 2 U FOR U
WII U SUPER MARIO MAKER 2

Good luck, it's a tricky one
>>333615830
beat it and left a comment,I'm glad the level wasn't super long like a lot of precision jump levels are
>>333616889
Do you want people to post more levels? I uploaded my newest one a couple of days ago. It is an easy exploaration kind of level where you simply have to find all red coins to finish it. I'd love to get some feedback.
>>333617597
yeah. I've got a level too but I need this thread to get rolling first
>>333617940
https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/4DAC-0000-0219-EC1D
This is my level. I'd really appreciate feedback. Post yours and I'll play it this weekend. I don't now if I'll be able to play it today though.
>>333616889
>wasn't super long
Well, people need to enjoy the level, obviously.
>>333618141
starting it now
my level is
https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/B731-0000-0219-9EF2
I haven't made on in awhile so I'd like feedback if anyone decides to play it now
>>333609807
Mario 3D World was a lifeless piece of shit.
Beat the entire game just to get my money's worth and then sold it. So sick of "random sterile floating islands/platforms" which was the entirety of Galaxy 1 and 2. I'd like the series to return to a centralized 'world' with some semblance of coherence to it, like Sunshine and SMW.
fuck even Super Princess Peach was more interesting than SM3D World.
>>333610345
I'd prefer a 2D Zelda maker long before 3D Mario Maker
but really i am sick of both IPs.
Hyrule Warriors is all the Zelda you could possibly ever need in one concentrated dose with constant DLC coming out for it
honestly i'd had my fill of Zelda by the time I got Link to Lv100. i'm sick of the franchise now
>>333614003
I wonder this too
>looking for a vid of something
>can't find ANY footage that doesn't have some goob piece of shit talking over it
>>333618141
the course design is fine but I feel like you put too many mushrooms, like there really isn't much of a penalty for getting hit. not sure where the others died honestly
>>333618390
exactly. people who make those crazy jump courses tend to go a bit overboard. sometimes I go overboard even
>>333609807
Good luck nigger.
Super Mario Maker already has gimped tools. 3D would be even worse.
>>333609807
Even decent 2D levels are too hard of a concept for 95% of the Mario Maker audience. I don't want to play guessing games and "Lol I dumped every enemy I could in this one screen" levels in 3D.
would a metroid maker work?
>>333619739
Thanks for the feedback. I'm really trying to get one of my levels marked as easy but so far, I didn't have any success. But maybe I ended up making it too easy.
I bookmarked your level and am looking forward to giving it a try.
>>333621114
Don't think so, NES Metroid is stale as hell (solid, but stale). Im up for some Kirby maker instead.
>>333621194
make sure to leave a comment so I can see some feedback on it. I already have an idea on some minor fixes but I really could use a third party on this. to get a level marked as easy you need to make it as normal as possible
wheres my 3ds mario maker
>>333618141
>server not found
Why can I never see these pages on my PC?
>>333609807
They haven't completely run out of ideas for 3D Mario yet.

just refresh

Its stupid, but I'm calling it now.
>>333609807
For the sales of the 3d games to not suck compared to every 2d mario game.
>>333621968
I did that. It pretty much instantly does nothing and I've tried this on multiple computers.
>>333622349
works perfectly on the Wii U browser, use that then

>>333623691
how long did it take you to upload those? I can't even get past the beginning
>>333624560
Ok so apparently the server just constantly shits itself.
Now it doesn't work again. Why is Nintendo so shit at online anything?
>>333624972
This is actually the first time I've had problems with the site
>>333625306
I've seen this occur for several days and today is the first time I even got to see what it looks like.
>>333625482
weird. got any levels I could play? you don't have to link to the site, just give me the code
>>333625850
Yea I do but I don't have the IDs for them and by the time I get home, this thread will be long dead.
Best I can do is give you the names and tell you they were all uploaded within the last week.
1. Bothersome Bounce
2. Bump and Jump
3. Push Through!
They are in order from hardest to easiest (arguably).
>>333626273
region? how about the difficulty? I might be able to search for em
>>333619073
HW isn't even Zelda, it's just a musou with a zelda skin for fanservice. It doesn't deliver the actual zelda gameplay in any way so being sick of zelda because of HW is dumb
>>333626701
it's constantly blasting "zelda nostalgia" at you, playing it is actually kind of exhausting because of that. the iconic moves, the rupees, the references, frankly i just have zero interest in more zelda after HW. it's like a zelda celebration party that hasn't ended for a year straight
i'd kinda just like some hint that other beloved nintendo ips matter to them at all. anything besides zelda and mario and kirby.
>>333624671
made them booth in about 4h or so
>>333627093
how about all that FE promoting or the two Star Fox games coming out? how about the fact they spent so many years on a metroid spinoff thats guaranteed not to be worth that effort profit-wise?

America.
I don't know the difficulty as far as the search system goes.
They are all on the ground theme. Two are on NSMBU (the first 2). The third is SMB3.
Only a few people have played them but the first one had a ~1% clear rate last I checked. The second has 0% and the third had 33%.
Last time I checked was last Wednesday.
>>333627473
>FE
sick of that too, for all the shitposting it has caused on this board
>two new SF games
another mediocre game rescued (YET AGAIN) by Platinum + an unrelated project that they slapped SF onto. but i guess that's tradition for SF after Adventures was the same thing
>>333627502
no need unless you know a few good levels,if I like your level I'll just sift through your profile
>>333627524
I'm on the hunt
>>333627473
>spend years (supposedly) on a shitty spinoff of metroid that has literally nothing to do with what people liked about the metroid brand, with the last metroid game being so awful that fans still haven't gotten over it 6+ years later
the constant "you just don't get it, this is the game you've been waiting for so shut up and eat it" doesn't help at all either.
i would seriously take metroid pinball 2 over fucking Federation Force, man
>>333627797
So it only counts if it's an IP you care about?
>>333628107
I'm glad for Star Fox fans. And by that I mean I'm happy they got a game made by Platinum.
Too bad Platinum can't rescue every beloved IP nintendo's been ruining
