you don't need to heal your poison every time honestly. If you didn't upgrade your weapons then you can either slog through or make your way back up to the surface to upgrade them (there's a shorter way than back through the depths though). Quelaag is piss-easy once you memorize her attacks because they're all slow as shit, the most important one to remember is the aoe energy blast she does.

Hey anon, I just beat her, currently in my first run. I had to backtrack from the first checkpoint in blighttown to buy moss clumps. It really isn't that hard to run, just run all the way there, go to the blacksmith while you're at it, then use a homeward bone to get back. It might be a long run but it's well wroth it.My friend told me about the drake sword though

Literally just resign yourself to the fate that you are going to be poisoned the whole time you are in the swamp. Save the moss for getting rid of the poison before the Quelaag fight, but if you run out just wait it out if you aren't confident and use Heal or an Estus Flasks, but I liked saving my flasks since they're so much fasterReverse your hollowing and defeat Man-Eater Mildred right outside the bonfire. If you summon her right outside Quelaag's fog gate, the fight becomes laughable as Mildred can solo her without your help if she doesn't get stuck on the lava too much

Run to behind the pillar, wait until they stop shooting, then run up to the just before the top of the ramp. The left archer should have a pillar in between you and him. If you can dodge around the right one's arrows, you can run up to him so you only have to kill the right archer. You lose out on the left path item though.
I also use a good shield and high poise, so I don't know if me tanking the arrows makes it easier or not

One just dropped off the rock ogres in blighttown and it has the best strength scaling of any other weapon i have right now
there are a couple of routes over the swamp that don't get you poisoned. it doesn't always work and you can agro things if you don't have fog ring but its doable.
two handed halberd should work nice for this boss, a shield is pretty pointless since you know, lava everywhere.

Are there any enemies in the Souls series that have elemental melee attacks? Like how players can get a sword and put magic on it to do melee and magic damage, do any enemies do that? Or are the only elemental enemy attacks ranged?
I've never really used shields so I just try to dodge everything ever but I'm wondering what it'd be like to use a shield, since they have differing defense values I'd probably just go for a physical one and dodge all projectile magic.

Four Kings' melee attack does magic damage I think, other than that I can't think of any off the top of my head, and you shouldn't worry about dodging melee attacks when it comes to four kings, just use a shield with 100% physical block and you should be good in that department, what you really want out of a shield is stability, the higher the better.

Quelaag is the third easiest boss in the game anyway, if she were weak to bleed like the stray demon she'd be #2, with asylum demon being the easiest for obvious reason

Taurus demon is harder by virtue of narrow place and gravity, also if you're fighting him your weapon isn't upgraded. Quelaag has the most obvious telegraphing ever, not to mention I think if you strafe left around her while keeping as close as possible you'll never get hit outside of the explosion anyway. Also cheese like zwei/halberds stunlocking her forever, or very slowly with bows.

Was planning to do a DSS faith build, but for the life of me I can't manage to kill Ornstein after Smough. I'm already summoning solaire to the fight and am able to take Smough down but its giant Ornstein thats fucking me over. Using the Silver Knight Armor + a +10 winged Spear. Any advice?

Could I get some feedback on this DS2 build for PvP? I originally intended to do an infused weapon + buff build, switching between sunlight blade and resonant weapon, but apparently that type of build is completely outclassed by robflynn with uninfused weapons. Came up with this as sort of a hybrid between being a hexer and melee. Would I be better off dropping my Faith to 30, spicing down sunlight blade, and putting those 20 levels into VIG/END/ADP? I'm pretty new to PvP in this game but I've been having some success with lightning heide sword and the spells I have equipped. PS4 SOTFS is surprisingly active for pvp

Have you tried memorizing his movestep? I think for one of his really tough attacks, either the grab or the impale, the cue to it is when he lifts up one of his feet, that is when you should dodge. Maybe try looking up a youtube video on it, he should be killable at that point.
